Courtyard meeting: At the courtyard meeting held on the date 27.05.2022 Ms. Marufa Akhter Samora Union under Dhamrai Upazila said I got married three years ago. At the time of marriage, my father gave three lac takas as dowry to my husband. One year after the marriage, my husband abused me and beat me, In the meantime a girl child was born in their house, and my daughter and I were evicted from his house. I am now in my father's house; the father of son does not provide any maintenance for my daughter. I want to get legal help through this meeting by the District Legal Aid Office.
UPLAC Bi-monthly Meeting: The monthly meeting of Baxanagar Union Parishad under Nawabganj Upazila was held on the date 28.5.2022 Mr Md. Abdul Wadud Chairman said that through the discussion of the bi-meeting, the various tortures of this union can be seen. Without meeting, these issues would not have been known to all and the ward members would have raised the situation in the area. We get a lot of complaints that can be resolved through the union council and we resolve them and many of the ones we can't solve we refer to the district legal aid office of Dhaka.
Miking on legal Aid: Miking is done in the Kushura Union Parishad area. During the miking, Mr. Md. Lutfor Rahman came to me and collected stickers and info cards of the District Legal Aid Office from me. I heard miking for the first time today that the government is providing free legal aid to the people. This is a good initiative of the government.
